How to eat healthy without trying to lose weight
How I did it: I decided that I was tired of overeating. My cousin's wedding was coming up, and that was the last impetus I needed. It was a few months away, and I told myself that by the time it rolled around, I would be eleven pounds lighter. Now, even though this goal was to not focus on losing weight, I knew that overeating isn't healthy and I knew that I was overweight as a result of how much I ate. I had attempted this goal before, but with less resolve. I made up my mind to really and truly pay attention to how I felt as I was eating, to eat when I was hungry and stop when I was full.
Lessons & tips:
- Be aware of what you eat and when you eat. Are you bored? Depressed?
- Don't beat yourself up when you eat more than you should or something that isn't great for you.

I find this website pretty helpful in maintaining my health and weight. And the best thing is that it's free. I use it mostly to track my weight, but you can also track your food consumption, exercise, and to set goals for yourself. There are healthful recipes as well, and message boards to discuss your progress, goals, worries, whatever you want, with other people who are in the same boat :)
