How to get rid of everything I don't need
How I did it: I had a limit of five cubic metres and four suitcases, and everything I owned had to compress into that. Most of it was in storage, so on the hottest day of the Queensland summer, I threw most of it out of storage and into a skip.
Lessons & tips: Imagine my situation: everything was either going into 5 cubic metres of storage, or into four suitcases. So for everything I either had to ask "Will I need this in the next year" - No then ask "Will it still have more value to me in a year than it's going to cost to store it?" No - chuck it out or Yes then keep it. If the answer to the original question was Yes (I will need it during the year) then ask "Is it valuable enough and small enough for me to take in a suitcase?" Yes, then take it, No then chuck it out, it can be replaced.
