Travel is wonderful
Travel is a wonderful experience no doubt and it makes you more complete at that…what more could you ask for…..
How I did it: It is more coincidence than preparation that made me travel. Last year, my friend told me that his cousin was doing some renovation in France and he needed some workers. I was offered something like that the summer before and I declined, uncertain about myself. But this time, we took the opportunity and went to France at the end of our school year.
I cost me all my money, but it surely worth the experience! Discovering new lands, new peoples, new cultures... nothing is like that (except maybe a girlfriend!).
Lessons & tips: Stop telling yourself that you need more preparation or more time. Just do it. If possible, go with a good friend and take the opportunities that you encounter. Go forward!

Do have any traveling experience of Paris?

Unfortunatly, no.
But I did meet a guy who become my friend while climbing a high mountain in the Pyrenees. This guy lives near Paris and he invited me to visit him once. I wonder if I’ll have the time before I come back home, but I’ll try and let you know if I ever make it to Paris this summer!
Once you have the bug, certainly it is very hard to stop. I agree that it is more confidence than preperation. Really it just comes down to picking up and see the world. If you really need help to know about another culture or language before you go, I did find an interesting place to do some research. You can post and read other peoples comments in 10 or more languages and seems to be a good place to start.

Thanks for your comment, I find this website a good idea indeed!
I agree with what you wrote.
I don’t know if you know this one, but I find it rather interresting too. It’s called Couchsurfing.com, and the principle is simple: you type the place where you’re going, and you can find people in this area who are ready to give you some space to sleep, generally for free. It think it bring down one of the barriers one can have with travelling, which is both the money problem and the sleeping one.
Have fun!
