How to make exercise a habit
How I did it: I needed to lose a lot of weight, and wanted to find an activity that I would enjoy doing, but be physically capable of doing. I always thought that it would be fun to go running, but didn't know how to get started so I started doing some research.
I started with the goal of improving my physical activity so that I would at least have the minimum fitness to go running. Once I built up my fitness, I decided to take it to the next level, and I joined a running group that would meet a couple of times a week.
Running is something that I enjoy doing, but it has taken me a long time to find this activity. I now enjoy running that I will actually go for a run in -20c weather.
Lessons & tips: Research activities that you might like to try or have always wanted to try. Ask people what they like doing for fitness-- you might find something that you never heard of.
Pick one activity and try it for a given time. It might take you a while to get into the activity.
