How to send a message in a bottle by bethieb

How I did it: On the night we were married on the beach, my husband and I tossed a bottle into the ocean with a copy of our wedding blessing inside. Two months later, 1000 miles away, a woman found it on the beach and took the time to send us a message of her own.

For those of you wondering about the practical side of this, we wrapped our message inside plastic wrap and then put it inside a plastic soda bottle with the top taped up. We walked to the end of the pier to toss the bottle in, and it really took off out to sea. There was some grumbling from people around us about littering, but we know we’re not the type to throw trash from the car window so I didn’t let it bother me.
