How to read the Book of Mormon
How I did it: I just read and read and read and read. I just spent whatever time I could reading it. I loved it. I gobbled it up. It was "delicious" to me. I read (listened, obviously) when I drove, I read when I ate, I read when I was sitting at home doing nothing, I read while my girlfriend did homework, and I just couldn't stop reading. It was truly a wonderful experience. It got to the point where I hated getting texts because it would interrupt my reading. I loved it.
Lessons & tips:
- Don't let yourself get distracted by TV or music, etc.
- Download the Church's mp3 listening version and listen on your iPod or in your car when you're busy.
- If you're on the computer, go to the Church website and read when you're waiting for a download.
- Whatever you have to do, do it.
Resources:
- This link to the online edition
- At the link provided above, there is another link in the top left corner that says "LISTEN". Click on it to get instructions to download the mp3 audio version. It's read by Bruce Lindsey, who is quite good.
