How I did it: adopted two cats from the same litter. american short hair, possibly siamese mix? whatever they are, they love each other and i love them. they're both more like dogs than cats, but i attribute that to how we've raised them. in my experience, give a cat a lot of attention, and it will act more like a dog.

Lessons & tips: can't say it enough that everyone should ADOPT. there are certainly too many animals out there, cats especially, that need good homes. i would jump for joy if someday cat breeding came to an end. there's simply no need for it.
