How to keep up with current affairs
"I feel like a world citizen"
How I did it: I checked the BBC news headlines first thing every day. They have links at the end of each news story about earlier developments and the history of the issue which really helped me get a hold on what is going on in the world, and why. I also listened to BBC Radio 4 all the time instead of music radio.
Lessons & tips: I made checking the news a habit, and made sure I didn't only read the headlines which interested me or only from my country. It also helped that I recently learned a lot about world geography from learning all the capital cities.
