How to start a photo journal - take at least a photo a day to represent my life by eito09

"It became too much of a burden and was too much pressure."

How I did it:

I tried to take a picture every day and then tried to download the images when I could and process them when I could.  It was too time consuming choosing and processing.  Maybe I took too many.  It was just too hard to decide what to take a picture of and to try to remember to do it every day.I honestly didn’t enjoy it. While I thought it would be nice to have all the pictures at the end of the year, it
was just not fun to do. I decided to do this instead: Life As Art Photo Journal. It is the first one on the list here: http://extraordinaryintheordinary.com/2009/02/photography-project-ideas/  It is less of a burden, and I am finding that it feeds my soul, plus I will have an amazing heirloom when I am finished. I think I am going to
make it into a coffee table book. I will probably even make a copy for both of my children.

I think the 365 is a great project.  I am just not organized enough for it. That is another thing on my list...be more organized. lol

Lessons & tips: I would suggest doing it once a week and making it a project 52 or do a project like this instead:  Life As Art Photo Journal

Thanks! I’m really enjoying this as a personal project, plus I feel like I will have so much more to show for it when I am finished.

I tried the picture a day thing with the other project but the perfectionist rule follower in me was devastated when I missed a day and quit.lol It was just too overwhelming anyway and wasn’t that much fun to “have to take a picture” especially if it was something that meant absolutely nothing to me most days. It would be great if you were the type of person who could do the picture a day thing. It just wasn’t for me.
