How to quit Smoking
How I did it: I took little baby steps. I'd quit for a few weeks but start back up again. So I decided that every once in a while I'd cut back. For instance, I stopped smoking in the morning. If I didnt smoke first thing, I tended to smoke less throughout the day. A while later, I stopped smoking at work. Once I figured out how to take breaks that didnt involve cigarettes, it was easy. Then I stopped smoking in my car. (Very hard, but now I sing in the car more) Then I just quit buying cigarettes and only smoked when my husband went out to smoke. So basically, I was only smoking three or four a day. Then I picked a quit day for complete nicotine freedom. I signed up at nixfixer, they have some good advice. The hardest part was when I was drinking. It wasnt hard though, after I had quit smoking during other activites. Also, my sister in law was quitting some of her vices, and she has two kids to deal with AND withdraws, so whenever I felt sorry for myself I'd think about how much harder it is for her. Anyway, it worked.
Lessons & tips: Gum and lozenges and patches didnt really work for me, they just made me feel insane.
