How I did it: I'd been a tutor at the college I attended and I'd assisted in other people's classes. One of the instructors wanted to move on to a new subject, something more advanced, so I took over his class at the encouragement of him and others.  I was not good at it. I only officially taught for two semesters, but I ket trying for two years. I failed miserably.

I sincerely and whole heartedly believe that the ability to teach is a gift; a gift I do not poses.  I tried to learn how to teach, only to learn that there's nobody teaching how to teach! Maybe it can't be taught. Maybe that's why it is a gift. 

I believe that if youhave thsi gift you can, in fact learn better methods, etc.  But if you don't have the gift, maybe it's not meant to be.

I really felt like a total failure after teaching two semesters, badly. I feel I did a disservice to my students, and am very sorry for that.

Lessons & tips: Know your limits. Try anything you think you might want to do, but know your limits.
