How I did it: Susan Santiago provided me with lyrics (at all times of the day and night!) and I had my stack that I'd take with me.  Usually, I'd write during lunch when I was teaching.  I go into a meditative state and the music just flows out of my fingers.  I really don't know which lyric is going to be the one I use.  I generally close my eyes and just start playing and singing.  When I stop I take the stack of lyrics and pull out one..why that one..I don't know, but it's always the right one.

Lessons & tips: Creativity lives in all of us.  Don't stifle yourself by saying you can't do something or your blocked...just do it.  Find a way...find somewhere quiet..and just do it.
