How I did it: I simply contacted a local recruiter and joined. I started out by talking to one of the closest recruiters to me. Then I moved onto several others. I found one that actually wanted to help me and saw me as more than a number or a opportunity for promotion.

Lessons & tips: Talk to all the recruiters in your area and try to find a recruiter that sees you as more than a number.
