How I did it: I highly recommend going to the Humane Society to find your pet. There are so many dogs, cats and other animals that need a good home. Plus, usually the society will make sure you're pet is spayed/neutered and will give them they're annual shots. My pet was very timid and scared when I got him which is to be expected, but if I needed too I could return in within 30 days (I think...may have 60) if I found I couldn't take care of him.
