How to get my AA
How I did it: It took me four years. I dropped at least one or two classes every semester. I started taking classes during summer and winter semesters, and also some night classes after I started working during the day. I found out that these worked so much better for me than traditional daytime/ full-semester classes, so I made an effort to sign up for more like that.
Lessons & tips: Don't give up. Seriously. College can be stressful and frustrating- if you start feeling overwhelmed try taking less classes. I wouldn't advise taking time off though- once you lose that momentum it can be really hard to get back into it. I found that summer classes and night classes were much better than traditional daytime classes- the atmosphere was more laid-back and social, and the teachers tended to be more lenient (though this may vary by school). If you have a subject which you find very difficult, it might help to take the class by itself so you can give it your full attention.
