How to build a Gingerbread house WITHOUT the help of cardboard boxes
How I did it: I found a recipe online, my new york friend helped me with her previous gingerbread constructing experience. I think that the gingerbread was not too good for eating because it was almost burnt. But i think that if I had left it in a little less time that it would have been hard enough to build a house and still delicious and crispy for eating. I used eggwhites and sugar to glue the sides together. Again, not too tasty, I might try something a little different next time to see how it turns out. I decorated with all kinds of candy and I made my own different colored frosting. Some of the frosting came out a little runny so I made a "modern art" style mural on the side of the house. It came out really pretty. I could've made it a church and called it stained glass. Anyway. This is just a really fun tradition to keep up and do with your friends.
