How to go camping at the coast
How I did it:
- Check out the state parks campsites to figure out location & cost
- OR travel the area and pick a campsite at random(that's what we did)
- Load up the cooler and head out.
- Coordinate schedules with outing buddies
Lessons & tips: If you're sick stay home! I was sick and felt rather yucky. I'm hardcore into the outdoors and almost didn't enjoy it so if your into nature any less its most likely going to suck for you.
Check the weather report-yeah it was drizzly and cold the entire time.
Prioritize- we wanted to stay longer but I was sick so we kind of cut the trip short. We packed PBJ, bread and picked up a couple gallons of water on the way out. Cause of the rain and my early departure we decided against pitchin the tent...we're hobo's so we slept in the car.
If its cold LAYER UP-luckily being from Michigan we plan ahead just in case there's cold weather. We were layered up very well. If we hadn't I can say that would've been the straw that broke the camels back.
