How to become an occupational therapist
How I did it: By juggling stuff, and working on top of studying, and by getting stressed out! Also, having a something to aim for really helped - I knew where I wanted to work and kept trying to picture myself there, as a real OT!
Lessons & tips:
- Prepare for placements by doing some advance reading
- Enjoy placements and make contacts - very useful when applying for jobs!
- Use time in college to read up on theory
- Try to get to grips with A&P
- Don't get stressed by assignments - do your best, but don't burn yourself out
