How to learn german
"Eye-opening and fun"
How I did it: One day, I decided to stop thinking about it, and just do it! So I signed up for German language classes at the Goethe-Institut. Being an introvert, it was pretty hard to take that first step since I was going alone. Lessons were fun and I got to meet some new people, so the whole experience was enjoyable (although a little stressful).
Unfortunately, I have learnt that I do not have a knack for language, so after passing 2 levels of basic German, I wasn't too keen on moving on to higher levels!
Lessons & tips: Find a reputable language school, so you won't be fleeced and it won't close down all of a sudden (which happens quite often here!).
Relax and enjoy!
Resources: Language is all about listening, speaking, reading.
Also a kind of boldness to speak it at random to your friends, family, yourself (which I couldn't do because the intonation of language is different, found it weird)!
