How I did it: I sold everything and bought a pack; then I hit the road in CA with 40 somthing dollars.  I worked my way across and there was only  me and God (  Whom I found out there in the vastness of existance.)

I’m looking to do this and looking to really rough it. You sold everything right. So you had some reserve money to buy things right? What kind of places did you work? How’d you find work? Any resources you have would be appreciated.
I want to essentially work my way through as you did. Did you end up just camping most of the time?
