How I did it: Got redundant due to global economic turmoil. Decided to just start working on my own idea instead of finding a new job.
Then, things just flow from there. Well, at least i have built enough runway to cover my life while i'm working on it. So, the first thing you need to know is, how to survive while your business is not yet profitable. And, better be prepared for at least a year without revenue. Best is 18 months.
Lessons & tips: There are much more opportunities than you thought. Your brain works much harder once you put your life on the line.
