How to karaoke in Japan

How I did it: When I came to Japan as an exchange student, a bunch of us decided we'd get to know each other a little better by going to karaoke all night. We went and sang along to our favorite Japanese songs and it didn't matter if we screwed up, it was all about having fun with each other.
Lessons & tips: Don't worry about how your voice sounds. If you're singing in a different language, don't worry about getting all the words right. Sing as loud as possible and just have fun with it!
