Books!
You are my hero!
How I did it: Slowly over the years, I have collected books. Some that were my favorite authors, others that were reference, and somehow I have ended up with 7 tall bookshelves full and a room that I call the Library. I love it. I have read ALMOST every book in it. The ones I liked, I have read more than once.
Lessons & tips: Go slowly. You will go broke if you try to do it all at once. Don't think you have to have a new copy of everything. Most of the books that are not just released, you can get used in excellent condition and pay a fraction of the price. Also, a lot of County Libraries sell their books that they have multiple copies of or that haven't been checked out in a few years.
Resources: Amazon.com is the main place I buy used books. Be careful that you read the comments and the ratings before you buy.
The local library sells their multiple copy books, or books that haven't been checked out in a while for $1.
ButtercupSam is inspired!
I also get my books from 4 local used library books sales. Yard sales is another great shopping find! You are right..slow is the right way to go. Eventually one will have more books than room..lol
