How to get a MacBook Pro
How I did it: After weeks of suffering with the hell that is dell, I decided to start hunting for cheap macs. To get as much information as I could, I asked a lot of coworkers what kind of computers they had and how they liked them. My manager admitted that he was selling he MacBook Pro for 1300 on Craigslist, but he'd sell it to me for 1000. At first I thought I was getting ripped off, but I did my research and learned that it was an amazing deal. Because it sounded too good to be true, I asked him to bring the laptop to work so I could be sure it was in good condition and that it ran well. After playing with it for an hour, I was already in love. I can tell this love will be eternal. I'm considering putting an apple decal on my car. Too dorky?
Lessons & tips: If you're buying used, make sure you test out the computer on all levels. Don't trust pictures or someone's 'word'.
