How to read hamlet
"Hamlet is much more than a simple heroic tragedy; it's a psychological play about a tragic mad young man."
How I did it: I began reading from an anthology of English literature, then got the play out of the library, with Cliff Notes and the No Fear edition.
I only used the Cliff Notes and No Fear when I got bogged down a few times, for instance when there is the confrontation between Hamlet, Claudius, his mother, and Laertes.
Lessons & tips: Read out loud whenever you can.
Only use the Notes when you need to. The notes slow you down, so read as much as you can figure out and use the notes when you need them.
