How to go camping more often.
How I did it: I had all the stuff, but I didn't have anyone with whom to camp. I attend a residential high school, and I couldn't find someone that wanted to leave for a weekend. Eventually, I talked to someone I never spoke to, and asked if he wanted to go with me. Now we are best friends, we go camping or backpacking every weekend, and we have inspired a huge group of teenagers to go camping more often.
Lessons & tips: Take a book. Don't feel obligated to talk to the people with whom you are camping the whole time. Do something you haven't been able to slow down and do for a while.
