Homeless people are often unfairly judged. I hope this experience helped you as much as what you did at the soup kitchen.
How I did it: For Confirmation, my church makes the kids do one of the community service projects they set up, so i decided to go work at the soup kitchen for my hours. Everyone there was so friendly and they are just like anyone else. I feel that we have this notion that the homeless are these filthy people who creep on little kids, but they were very nice and polite.
