I think it looks really pretty :)!!
How I did it: First, I made a design. Being traditional and conservative, I wanted something that would cover my shoulders and in a solid color. I also wanted something that would flatter my body shape (pear). I decided on a simple princess-cut bodice with shoulder cuffs, and a tulle skirt. Obviously, I chose black. After that, I took down my measurements with the undergarments I would be wearing underneath, and started drafting a pattern; YES, I made my own pattern =D The rest was pretty easy, but I got lazy. I could have finished it in two days if I had gotten off my butt.
The invisible zipper got to me though. I had never worked with one before and I had some quality bonding time with my seam ripper while figuring it out.
Lessons & tips: Always, always have a seam ripper handy!
