How to take a hands-on cooking class

How I did it: A good friend took me to a sushi-making class. So, although I didn't COOK, per se, I did get to make my own sushi. It was so much fun! The sushi guy was across from us at a large table and showed us what to do and then would watch us, to make sure we were doing it correctly.
Lessons & tips: Just do it!
