How to get braces
How I did it: i got them because my teeth were slightly crowding towards the front and i didnt wanna have to get expensive dental work to correct it down the line. it takes several preliminary sessions in the orthodontists office to map your teeth out, take molds, and lots of other fun stuff before you can actually get the braces. it doesnt hurt to get them, its just akward and uncomfortable for a couple days. i get them all off in 18 months.
Lessons & tips: well be sure your insurance will cover it before you do it (even with my insurance covering it, we still have to pay $5000 out of pocket) and make sure youre going to be comitted to taking care of them and brushing, flossing, using a water pik, and using mouthwash up to 3 times a day. also, you have to STRICTLY adhere to the guidelines they give you for what NOT to ever eat.
