How to build a website
How I did it: I looked for an appropriate name on bluehost.com and got them to host my site for around $100/year (cheap!). Then I used an iweb template to create my site. I used mostly blog type pages and tailored the pages to suit me. It was relatively easy to move everything around the way I wanted it. Once I was done building it, I used cyberduck to FTP the site into cyberspace. Check it out at andthentheysaid.com.
Lessons & tips: The only downside to using iweb is that in order to have features such as comments, etc. you have to also get a subscription to another apple service called mobileme which is around $99/year. We are going to do this soon.
Try to get the look of your site down before you create too many pages or you will be re-formatting a lot.
