How to send something to post secret
How I did it: I started the process by attempting to make a private list of personal secrets. After having a few come to mind, or so I thought, I realized that I had shared all of them with at one person in my life. Finally I came up with one secret that I had "forgotten".
Went online and Googled images of the related topic. Printed the picture in a 4x6 size, then attached it to a cardstock with stick glue for extra backing strength. Used a black Sharpie pen to write the "secret" over the image so it would be clear. Taped a couple of the corners that appeared to be separating so as not to have it get torn during the postage process.
Located the mailing address and information on the website www.postsecretcommunity.com. Such a simple project has been a rather fun distraction in that I keep looking on Postsecret to see if my card has been posted yet. I think it is good enough to make the cut...but we shall see.
Lessons & tips: I had a brain freeze and placed the postage stamp on the picture side of the postcard. Duh. Removed the stamp, which left a sticky residue on the card. Had to cover that part with a piece of tape to keep it from sticking to other pieces of mail. Post card mailing 101: Stamp goes on back side of card.
PostSecret wants the cards to arrive anonymously...so no name is required.
Reveal anything - as long as it is true and you have never shared it with anyone before.
