"Completing this goal was very fulfilling."
How I did it: I've had this goal for as long as I can remember really. Actually, I think this is included in the list of original goals that I had when I started here. I've been delaying this for as long as I can remember probably because I always thought that my ex would be there to organize my stuff for me forever.
Stupid, I know.
Then this weekend, I finally got sick of looking at all those clothes piled on top of my couch that I just started to do it. First, I folded the ones that were unfolded. Then I segregated them into the stuff that I keep on wearing, to stuff that I still like, to the stuff that make my lip curl in disgust. This was so therapeutic, by the way, purging the things that you don't want, that I just kept going until I ended up with much needed closet space.
Now, my closet is a joy to look into. It literally makes me grin every time I open it to get clothes to wear. My clothes are neatly hanged, and my shirts are neatly folded. I'm so proud of myself. (Huge grin!)
Oh, and it probably helped that Neil was on Skype the whole time I was doing this. He provided the entertainment which turned a dreary task like this one, into a very amusing one.
Lessons & tips: You just need to begin.
