How to work at a salon

How I did it: I went to cosmetology school but moved before I could get my license. I decided I wanted to work in a salon until I can get my license. I searched online in multiple ways to learn the salons around my area and to see if they were hiring. I checked craigslist, monster, and just googled salons around my zip code. I turned my resume into several salons and got two call backs.
Lessons & tips: Working in a salon is a different lifestyle then your normal 9-5 mon-fri job. Make sure that you don't mind working Saturdays and odd hours. It's fast paced so you have to be able to keep up with it!
