How to visit old friends
How I did it: Well, I guess this is a goal that can never really be 'done', as one visit does not feel like enough. I can't wait to see them again, but since I made it back to Dartford and saw Elle and Dave once since I set this goal then I'm going to say I did it, because it makes me happy to complete goals! The trick is to just do it, just get in touch - if they are good friends they will always be happy to hear from you, even if it feels like you've left it a little too long. The great thing about these two is that no matter how long we don't speak, every time I see them it feels like I never moved away.We had a lovely time. The only setback was that it made me feel so unhappy afterwards that I might not make it back there in a while, and unhappy that I ever had to leave.
Lessons & tips: Just go for it and call- do it sooner rather than later, because you know the longer you leave it, the harder it gets - and remember good friends should always want to see you no matter how many weeks/months/years it has been. Its so much worse to lose touch altogether.
