I’d have to say that this was probably one of the highlights of our cruise to Alaska.
There are a number of ways that you can go whale watching. One is to book it as a shore excursion with the cruise line. The other way is to just wait until you get into port. There will be a number of companies represented at the dock who will be able to accomodate you.
Also if you don’t want to spend a lot of extra money, there were numerous whales visible from the cruise ship itself. The captain was very good at announcing whale sightings to the passengers.
