How I did it: While watching the burn on the internet in 2007 I decided I would be there in 2008... I then made it happen. Now working on 2009. I already have my ticket & time off booked.

Lessons & tips: read everything you can google about the event 10 + times. talk,listen,chat with anyone that has been there... and realize your burn will still be different. don't forget the sun block & chapstick.
