How to do some rock climbing
How I did it: I made a new friend recently who rock climbs and she was kind enough to take me and another friend to Strubens Valley- great for beginner rock climbers. She lead the way, and then showed us a few moves, plus belayed for us as we had a go! After 3 routes, my arms and legs were exhausted- it's quite a work out, but such a fun one!
Lessons & tips:
- find a friendly friend to take you, and a beginners rock face
- wear comfy clothing
- trust is key- trust yoruself, the rock, and your friend who belays!
Resources: A friend who know's her stuff when it comes to rock climbing, and has all the right gear in good condition! The White Gold (or chalk) was a much appreciated extra! Plus come munchies to nibble on between climbs.
