How to learn basic first aid
It made me
informed 
"I took a one day class and I now know basic first aid and CPR."
How I did it: I went to http://www.redcross.org/ and found a one day class in my area. They have so many! Then I just commited to the day and signed up for the class. It was $60. Had I known it was going to be this simple I would have done this months sooner.
