How to travel to Spain
How I did it: I decided that I wanted to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country to improve my Spanish, and Spain was the place that I always wanted to go. I had long desired to travel in Europe, and it gave me the opportunity to see not only Spain, but also Italy, France, Portugal, and Morocco. I found a program in the study abroad office of my university and went through them to organize my trip. I then spent three months in Granada, Spain. It was absolutely amazing.
Lessons & tips: -if you're at the university, there are programs available that can help you get to Spain
-make sure you bring a bank card/credit card to get money
-you don't need to know the language but it definitely helps; have some basic vocabulary and sentences prepared before you go
-be prepared for prices to be different and keep updated on how the euro is doing versus the dollar
-travel as much as you can while you're there!
