How to model
"Let yourself see how others see you. "
How I did it: Well, the photographer Jeanée kept asking me to model for her and eventually I agreed to help her with a studio project for the photography class at our school. I just did myself up as I normally did and took the photos. The parasol of course, was her prop. I had a rather good time and I think that I'll keep doing more if anyone else is interested.
Lessons & tips:
- Be confident
- Don't be nervous; it WILL show on the camera.
- Follow what the photographer wants but also put in a little of your flare in it as well.
- Try different poses if you are doing portrait photography, like I was.
- If you are not doing portrait photography, do not poses and try to be more natural.
- Make sure to be groomed because the camera can be very unforgiving and will catch ungroomed nails or eyebrows.
