How to travel to Australia
How I did it: As a Canadian, I registered with SWAP.ca, and through them got a year long working VISA, and help with accommodations and finding work. I headed down to Oz at the end of November. It took me a week and a half to find a place to live, and I actually found a job in the first few hours of looking. My roommate on the other hand looked for 2.5 months then gave up. I have been working in Sydney for the past 4 months and plan on travelling to the rest of Australia at the beginning of May.
Lessons & tips: Do not be afraid of going without someone else. Meeting other people when you are travelling is unbelievable easy, as you find a lot of people in the same position as you.
