How to be more assertive
How I did it: I started with the book 'The power of your subconscious mind', and from it I got the basic understanding of how our thought affects our feelings and ultimately our actions. Then I started focusing on my positive qualities and that boosted my morale and I felt a surge in my self-esteem. Eventually I realised, that always I don't have to sacrifice my feelings and longings to make others happy. Then I became more of a kind of assertive person who don't always give in to the opinions and demands of others. I made it a point to always evaluate the authenticity of others opinions before validating it. And now I possess the courage to challenge anybody's demand as required for the sake of my peace of mind. Now I can easily say a big "NO" to any body if I feel like saying it.
