You inspired me. Cheers.
This was my first real goal that I wanted to start with & yours was the entry that I stumbled upon that inspired me. So go on & strike that off your list of things to be done.
How I did it: I stopped buying books, and started at the top shelf. I found out that i had some very interesting books, with a little bit of me in everyone of them! Now i buy 1 book, read 1 book. i always have a book next to my bed, and.. also to get myself to sleep at night.. i make myself read at least a few pages.
Lessons & tips: Stop buying books (save money).
Find a type of book youre particulary interested in. Make it a fun way to learn stuff, also about yourself.
Read a lot. Take a book in the train, subway, bed, bath.. Where ever.

I own about a thousand books, give or take a few. I’d say I’ve read about 70% of them, give or take, but many of them can’t just be read in one sitting (like the Qur’an, the Bhagavad Gita, my several different versions of the Bible, my encyclopedia set, Roman history books, text books, et cetera).
