How to host a party

How I did it: When the new James Bond DVD came out, I bought and invited some friends from work to come over. I ordered pizza and bought some snacks. No James Bond party would be complete without martinis so a friend brought some mixes over and we got stupid and missed the movie completely.
Lessons & tips: Start small, don't invite too many people, and don't try to be too formal.
