How to get a job
"The economy sucks. This was the longest job search of my life. I let go of all my silly notions about what I wanted and grabbed onto whatever I could get. It worked out better than I expected. "
How I did it: Apply, Apply, Apply, and Apply again. I went on ten interviews before I got an offer.
I stopped trying to bust my way into a job I wanted and focused more on who was actually hiring.
I gave a resume when they didn't require one, I called to check up on it, then gave an awesome interview. Then I called to check up on that. I never waited for them to call me.
Lessons & tips: Treat your job hunt as your job. Get up on time for it, take breaks, and schedule things around it.
