How to fast for 3 days
How I did it: I did a juice fast. I think this is the best way to go if it's your first fast. Your body doesn't have to use energy digesting, so it can work instead on getting rid of impurities in your system. The juice keeps you hydrated and provides you with healthy vitamins and sugars to keep you going. I really would like to do extended juice fasts, and then eventually a water fast. It's a beautiful, refreshing experience, but really nothing to rush into. Take your time and don't push yourself. Eat something if you don't feel well, then try the fast again in the future.
Not only did I feel renewed physically, but I used the time I would normally spend eating to renew myself mentally as well. I was in a much better place emotionally when I concluded my fast.
