How to exercise daily
How I did it: Well, at first itwas just a matter of 'walking around the building,' not impressive. Even my ankles hurt. But I slowly kept going until I was going around the building and it got boring, Then i started exploring the neighborhood. Then it was a matter of not wanting to come back to the office, so I would walk farther and farther! Now its such a habit, that I make up excuses in order to go for a quick walk (hey everyone else gets to smoke!!)
Lessons & tips: Even though it seems like such a pain (mentally and physically) at first, stick with it, it is almost like a switch, one day it sucks and then all of a sudden, its great. Just hang in there for the switch, it wont take THAT long!! and BTW, not only does exercise help fight depression, but think about how the sunlight really affects your body, wakes you up. I would totally try to be outside rather than a gym, at least you can walk around and see new things. I even started recoginizing which specific bird lived in which tree!!
Resources: I would use my walking time to talk on the phone or return phone calls that i never seemed to have the time for (calling distant relatives, etc). I would just be walking and talking and not even realize how far I was going because I was so distracted!
