How to attend a victorian ball

How I did it: I asked around at PBDA about where to go for Victorian Dancing and heard about the Social Daunce Irregulars. They hold three balls yearly and a class on the called dances a week ahead of time.
I signed up, went to the class, and danced my butt off!
Lessons & tips: Don't fill your dance card all the way. You will need breaks, especially if you wear heels, like I did. On the other hand, FILL YOUR DANCE CARD!! If you don't sign up, you don't dance, so it's good to make sure you get that done at the beginning, and ladies, do not be afraid to ask the guys, especially if you're new!
