How to learn to swing dance
How I did it: There is a weekly dance in town that offers a one-hour beginner's lesson right before a social dance. You pay $5.00 (or $2.00 if you're a member) and learn some basic moves - then dance with everyone!
The key is to practice. You can take a couple of beginner's classes and then pick up more advanced steps as you dance with veteran swing dancers.
Lessons & tips: Take lessons! You'll need these to lay down the groundwork.
Check out YouTube.com for some quick tutorials on more advanced moves you can incorporate.
Don't be afraid to ask people to dance when you're at a social dance. Don't be shy! Everyone is there to dance, so you don't have to worry about intruding.
In relation to the above, if someone asks you to dance, say YES!
